George V, 1910-36. Bronze Allied Subjects Medal. Unnamed As Issued. 574 Bronze Medals Issued. Very Rare.
The Allied Subjects Medal was awarded and distributed by the Foreign Office to citizens of allied and neutral countries who gave assistance to British and Commonwealth soldiers behind enemy lines during the Great War of 1914-1918 (WWI), especially escaped Prisoners of War. In total, 134 silver and 574 bronze medals were awarded, nearly half of this number to women.

In nice original condition, uncleaned, a darker patch of tone on obverse. The original loop intact.
