This monumental triumphal arch depicted on the reverse was erected by Nero to commemorate the Roman military campaigns against the Parthians in Mesopotamia and Armenia.

A rich old collection tone. Previously pierced in two places, plugged in antiquity, the plugs now showing signs of light rust. This a very nice and attractive example of a rare and desirable issue, scarcely encountered.
