Obv: Bust of Sigismondo facing to the right, wearing over shirt of mail and a surcoat embroidered with roses. Rev: Sigismondo in armour and armed holding a sword.
 
Originally cast in 1445 in Rimini, Italy, when Pisanello was a guest of Malatesta. Sigismondo relieved the besieged city of Fano the same year.
 
Cleaned in the past, with some tone and patina remaining, light surface marks and some overall wear.
