  • George II, 1727-60. Shilling, 1745. LIMA. CGS Encapsulated And Graded.

    Graded CGS 65 (GEF).

This Shilling was minted in 1745 from some of the Spanish treasure seized by the British in the 1740's. Coins minted with the word 'LIMA' below the king's bust were to commemorate the lucrative harassment of the Spanish colonies in the New World, they were struck from the actual looted silver.

The coin has an attractive tone with coour. The plastic has some minor liight surface scratches and light wear.
