George II Gold Posy Ring, c.1740. With Maker’s mark “G.B” in cartouche. Engraved in script “Vertue pafeth riches”. The ring decorated with engraved floral scrolls. 2.2g, internal diameter 14mm. Remains of white enamel in the deeply cut decoration, minor surface wear, in good stable and wearable condition.
