Late Saxon / Early Medieval Disc Brooch, c.450-550 A.D. The copper-alloy brooch flat, the front decorated with seven, unevenly spaced, annulets and dots set around the edge and an eighth at the centre. On the rear face of the plate is a large U-shaped pierced lug for the attachment of the missing pin and a curved hooked plate for its fastening. Darker patina, a slight kink to the edge by the large lug, some surface scratches and minor chips, in good stable condition. PAS Record ID: DOR-1CAC87. 8.2g, 35mm x 33mm diameter.
