Tudor Or Stuart Silver Open Thimble, c.16th-17th Century. The openwork thimble of one piece of sheet silver,, decorated with rings, a plain and rope twist border to base, the seam line slightly open, a cartouche engraved “MB”. 1.8g, 12mm high. Misshapen and a split opposite to the seam rendering the thimble fragile but complete.
