Ancient Greece. Thrace, Dionysos, Maroneia. AR Tetradrachm, c.188-150 BC. 16.1g, 26-23mm.

Obv: Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing taenia and wreath of ivy and fruit. Rev: ΔIONYΣOY - ΣΩTHPOΣ / MAPΩNITΩN Dionysos standing and holding grapes in his right hand and narthex stalks in his left, chlamys draped over his left arm, monograms to fields.

A light collection tone, a very attractive example with much appeal in the hand. A chip to the edge on reverse, possibly a flaw in striking.
