Obv: CAROLVS D G MAG BR FR ET HI REX. Bust left with value mark VI behind. Rev: CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO. Oval garnished shield with CR to sides.

Provenance: Ex RC Lockett, 1873-1950; Ex Cumberland Clark, Charles I Coins and Medals, Sotheby, January 19th 1914.

 

A rich old collection tone with some golden hue. For issue a nice attractive portrait and good details throughout. Much eye appeal in the hand. A scarcer type / mint mark which is not readily available for sale.
