George III, 1760-1820. Old Sheffield Silver Plated Ale Jug, The Lid Inset With A Silver Charles I Shilling, mm. Tun, 1636-38. The side engraved with a crest. 12cm high, 17cm at the widest point from spout to handle.
 
Some overall wear due to age and use, the hinged lid working well, some copper showing through. The reeding weave missing from handle and some small dings and dents.
