Cavino was born in 1500 in Padua, he was the son of goldsmith Bartolommeo di Giovanni. Cavino trained with his father, he then trained with the renowned Paduan bronze sculptor Andrea Briscio (Riccio).
A very nice example of an early Paduan piece, with a good rich chocolate tone. A small edge bump.
