    Discovered in June 1993, the Middleham Hoard is the largest hoard of coins buried during the Civil War to have been found. Uncovered were 5099 silver coins of Edward VI, Mary, Elizabeth I, James I, Charles I and others including Scottish and coins from the Netherlands.

     

    Good overall condition, clipped but with a reasonable portrait. A more desirable mint mark for issue.
