Georgian Engraved Convict Token, Named William Sanders, c.1820. The Token Stippled Engraved On A George III Penny, 1797. Unattributed And Warranting Further Research.

 

“Dear at chance when this you see remember me as I shall ever think I’m the William Sanders”.

 

A potential match amongst several others could be a William Sanders convicted of stealing clothes, convicted at Devon Assizes then transported on the ship Mary to New South Wales on 28th August 1821.
