Obv: Head of Athena (goddess of wisdom) right, wearing earring, necklace and crested Attic helmet decorated with olive leaves. Rev: Owl standing, closed tail feathers, olive sprig to left and AOE to right, within incuse square.

 

A nicely struck coin of good silver with a good strong portrait of Athena and the iconic owl on reverse. Designated as cleaned in the past but with attractive tone.
