Rudyard Kipling, 1865-1936. Bronze Medal. Engraved By Roger Bertrand Baron. 68mm. In Its Original Leather And Velvet Lined Box.

Rudyard Kipling remains the youngest recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature. He was just 41 years old when he received the award in 1907—a record that still stands today. By that time, he had already published some of his most celebrated works, including The Jungle Book, Kim, and Just So Stories. Kipling was also the first Englishman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature, although the prize itself was still in its infancy, having been established only six years earlier. He was honored with the citation: “For observation, vivid imagination, maturity of ideas, and outstanding storytelling talent.”.
