Reference: Rogers 200; BMC 2088; F798 (R20).

An example is noted by Colin Cooke, this at that time was reputedly one of four pieces known in existence.

An example was sold with DNW (Noonans), 14/12/2004, lot 1025, hammer £440 plus premium. Three specimens noted as known at that particular time by the cataloguer. A second example is noted as sold with Noonans, 01/02/2023, lot 406, hammer £440 plus premium, this example circulated and showing wear.

The Foster/Peck/Freeman specimen was auctioned for £380 in 1984.

A very pleasing example of an extremely rare piece, much eye appeal in the hand with an almost proof-like strike, only trivial hairlines otherwise as struck and choice. Believed to be one of less than ten known examples.
